Opportunity Description

We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager who will be responsible for managing the total supply chain process for the U.S. to include all aspects of Logistics, Warehousing, and Freight in line with company guidelines and U.S. goals and objectives. The Supply Chain Manager will also be responsible for food safety and quality and reporting deviations to key authority personnel, as well as managing all departmental personnel and related activities.

Job Duties

  • Coordinate outside logistics process optimizing cost and service as monitored through KPI’s 
  • Manage importing and transportation of product for best possible cost and service Lead planning process for supply chain yearly business plan in line with US and corporate initiatives 
  • Monitor forecasting, service levels, freshness, inventory, etc. per company KPI’s 
  • Budgetary development/accountability for the supply chain area in conjunction US and Corporate guidelines and directives 
  • Evaluate personnel and implement training/developmental plans for employees to optimize potential working with HR 
  • Responsible for managing the forecasting and procurement of imported and domestic finished goods working with coordinator. 
  • Manage the EDI function working with IT as to the technical areas 
  • Manage outside storage and logistics processes between production facilities, warehouses, and customers 
  • Fiscal accountability for the logistics activities based on budget/plan 
  • Oversee freight and importing activities working with coordinator to optimize costs and efficiencies 
  • Monitor inventories of finished goods and ensure sufficient stock while staying within budgeted inventory
  • Review, analyze and publish monthly reports on service level, inventory and sales to include dated product and overstocks and develop action plans as needed 
  • Review inventory report daily/weekly as required and identify and resolve any inventory issues at warehouse level to include damages, dated inventory, etc. and related reconciliation 
  • Oversee verification of all logistics invoices and related documents 
  • Handle negotiations with suppliers as needed with freight and pallet vendors for both locations 
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining all item cards in system for trading goods 

Education

  • Bachelors degree 

Experience & Skills Required

  • 3-5 years supply chain experience
  • Knowledge of International Commerce, Transportation and Customs
