Opportunity Description
Real Estate Financial Analyst needed to support the commercial real estate finance relationship management team with respect to originations and portfolio management for transactions of various sizes, asset types, and stages of development in locations nationwide. The position entails tasks that require an understanding of real estate markets and lending functions.
Job Duties
- Assist team members in the origination process including underwriting, financial analysis, due diligence, credit approval and closing, which will include direct interaction with the client, credit, legal and syndications.
- Perform all aspects of underwriting, including financial analysis, risk assessment, leasing and cash flow projections and sensitivity analysis, industry market and management assessments, and collateral analysis.
- Research specific real estate markets and assess market data and trends affecting demand generators, risk presented by new supply and comparable properties.
- Perform on-going performance analysis of development projects and property cash flow projections.
- Preparation of professional presentations for internal and external distribution.
- Actively supervise the loan portfolio for loan term compliance, financial statement and property reporting and collateral monitoring.
- Critical date follow-up and preparation of internal/external reporting requirements.
- Servicing of accounts including interaction with Settlements Department for load administration and servicing.
- Work on special projects, ad hoc reporting, and analysis.
- Onboarding and management of KYC/AML compliance.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Real Estate
Experience & Skills Required
- Excellent analytical and oral/written communication skills, detail oriented and well organized.
- Ability to create high quality, creative and thoughtful presentations for utilization with clients throughout the marketing process and for internal purposes.
- Ability to quickly evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a variety of transactions.
- Ability to multitask and work successfully under pressure while effectively managing deadlines and workload.
- Sound interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. and German banking systems.
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Argus proficiency preferred.
- German language skills a must
