Immediate need for a contractor for a leading book publisher in Manhattan. All candidates should have experience with Print / Books.

Job Duties

Adapts hardcover designs to paperback and audio format
Prioritizes tasks in order to meet printer deadlines and manages multiple projects simultaneously
Collaborates with art directors, editors, copy editors and production managers throughout the cover design process
Routing mechanicals
Designing mechanicals (spine, back and flats)
Routing in R-Suite
When mechanical comes back, incorporate changes and feedback
Release job to printer

Experience & Skills Required

2 + years experience in a similar role
Adobe Suite
Experience with Print / Books required
