Opportunity Description
Experienced Insurance Verification Clerk needed to process assigned pre-certification / authorization requests for outpatient and inpatient procedures.
Job Duties
- Verify patient eligibility and pre-certification requirements through on-line verification software or by telephone.
- Re-verify patient eligibility on a monthly basis.
- Obtained authorization with correct ICD-9 and Procedure codes.
- Working within MS ExcelAdditional duties as required
Experience & Skills Required
- Prior experience performing pre-certifications, authorizations and verifications REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Knowledge of ICD9 and CPT codes a plus
