Opportunity Description

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Jr. Coder/Programmer who wants to learn and become part of an Integration Group at a large Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

In the first few months, you will bring your SQL, Python, or other language coding skills and learn to build Interface Engines from scratch. Utilizing Intersystems, you will be part of an 8-member team that creates and ensures that diverse clinical systems communicate effectively and data moves across the enterprise. 

The first few months you will work fully remotely and then move to a hybrid schedule working 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

 

Company Information

Our client is a large Academic Acute Care Facility in Brooklyn, NY. They have an exciting opportunity in the Integration Group to join other 7 Interface Analysts and Programmers. 

Job Duties

Conducts complex analysis and design tasks for the development of interface systems (Intersystems).

Manages allocating physical and logical storage on Unix as well as Virtual or physical servers where the interface data resides. Working with the storage team he will troubleshoot and resolve alternate path SAN connectivity and data migrations.

Working with the manager, develop monitoring procedures for the Interface environment, including underlining infrastructure.

Collaborates and works effectively in a team environment with ongoing interaction/communication with users, vendors, analysts, and outside team members

Work closely with application teams to adopt new orchestration packages to ensure self-healing and messaging for proper feedback and reduce any potential downtime.

Using the appropriate Interface engine ( Intersystems, eLink, OpenLink, or similar) toolset develops, tests, and implements Interfaces. 

Works with Vendors to implement and test data transmissions, and translators, creates auxiliary scripts, and program components to augment product's lack of functionality.

Manages, upgrades, and improves the Linux Red Hat platform infrastructure to support the databases and interface-related applications.

Responsible for integration activity including but not limited to HL7, SQL packages, scripts, and file downloads

 

Education

• BA/BS a must – Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience & Skills Required

Coding experience in Internships or prior health facility a plus

Knowledge of HL7 a plus
