Well-known Publishing Corporation is in need of an experienced Payroll Accountant on a contract basis. All candidates must have atleast 2 years experience as a Payroll Accountant maintaining payroll related account reconciliations and experience preparing journal entries for update to General Ledger.
Maintain payroll related account reconciliations. Prepare and balance standard journal entries for update to JDE General Ledger SOX Testing (SOX experience) Partner with external and internal auditors Will be expected to handle confidential records in a professional manner. Monitor Payroll Email Box and answer questions Will be in direct contact with Human Resources and Payroll Departments at remote locations. Will work with Financial Reporting May have contact with Federal and or State taxing authorities.
Bachelor's Degree
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred Minimum of two years Payroll Accounting experience required SOX Testing experience required Prior Payroll Tax experience Web Based Payroll experience Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) strongly desired. Must be able to work 8:30am - 4:30pm EST
