Opportunity Description

As our part-time bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. The typical day-to-day of this position will include, but is not limited to, keeping track of financial transactions, reconciling bank and credit statements, and preparing financial reports. Additionally, you will assist with budget tracking and provide support during audits as needed.

Job Duties

  • Accurately record financial transactions in QuickBooks, ensuring timely and precise data entry.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to maintain accurate financial records and identify discrepancies.
  • Oversee timely payment of invoices and ensure strong vendor relationships.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure accurate and timely billing.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with budget preparations and cash flow projections, contributing to informed financial planning and decision-making.
  • Track expenses and ensure proper documentation is in place for audit compliance.
  • Manage filing systems of business records for easy access and reference.
  • Prepare and edit communications as needed, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all correspondence.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information while adhering to data privacy regulations, protecting sensitive business information.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, demonstrating a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and the MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, ensuring the effective handling of multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks, contributing to reliable and precise financial records.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and proven track record of fostering positive relationships.
