Opportunity Description
You will be an integral part of the Finance team charged the entire financial operations of a rapidly growing and expanding pharmaceuticals company. The person will oversee the Finance team and will directly report to Vice President, Finance. Job Duties
- Oversee and complement the day−to−day operations of the Accounting/Finance team, with an emphasis on creating efficiencies, time management, and general accounting
- Responsibilities include executing/ reviewing finance / reporting activities, budgeting, forecasts and other special projects
- AR & AP coordination with Global Shared Service Team and ensure timely completion of activities
- Review Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) every month end and coordinate with respective team members for accuracy
- Ensure timely completion of month end, Quarter end and year end close as per company timelines
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide relevant information / documentation to auditors
- Coordinate with Tax team and provide relevant information and check for accuracy for Quarterly / Annual Qtr4 annual tax filing
- Review quarterly tax liability weekly
- Ensure Transfer Pricing regulations are complied and work with external consultants for timely completion of Transfer pricing Study.
- Forecasting profitability and cash flow, managing the annual budgeting process and budget data, and supporting senior management decision making with professional financial analyses
- Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and reporting performance vs budget and forecast results
- Prepare GAAP financial statements, provide analysis of variances and balances for month−end reporting; and make month−end journal entries
- Preparation of Monthly reconciliation of B/S accounts , review of journal entries,
- review of General Ledger and sub ledger reconciliation, inventory valuation , report generation and variance analysis
- Assist the Executive Team in developing financial presentations and documenting items for decision
- Maintain accounting controls and policies established by the Company to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement with particular focus on
- efficiency and return on investment. Presents findings and recommendations as applicable to senior leadership.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned by senior leadership
Experience & Skills Required
- Advanced knowledge of Excel a must
- Experience with NetSuite Preferred
- Minimum 4−5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
- 2 years of experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Strong working knowledge of accounting in an ERP environment
- Excellent analytic and observation skills
- Sound judgement and experience to apply to current situations.
- Excellent computer skills using spreadsheets and database tools
- Be able to work within deadlines and be able to prioritize self and staff to meet the Company’s expected delivery times
- Highly efficient and should be a team builder
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Approachable and willing to help employees both inside and outside of finance
- Ability to effectively interpret and communicate financial results to non−financial managers
